On January 27, 2025, I took a significant step in my journey as an entrepreneur by founding the Black Investors Coalition (BIC). The very next day, I visited my local bank and opened a business and assets management account. This was not merely a procedural step; it was a foundational move that underscored the importance of establishing a formal structure for managing our financial resources under the business name.

The Importance of Owning Assets

As the CEO and Founder of BIC, I recognized early on that owning assets is a critical component of building sustainable wealth. Many people operate under the misconception that businesses primarily generate income through sales and services. However, at BIC, we advocate for a more holistic approach to wealth creation.
