Fed Chair Powell is set to deliver his regular pow-wow to Congress on Tuesday and Wednesday. His chat follows the Fed keeping interest rates on ice in January after chopping them in the prior three meetings, citing a rock-solid job market and inflation concerns. New York Fed President John Williams and Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic will also be chiming in during the week.

Friday’s big reveal of January U.S. retail sales data will show whether consumers are ready to outspend expectations after December’s numbers came in a bit shy of the mark.
